What is composite bonding?

What is the procedure for composite bonding?
Your dentist will lightly roughen the surface of the teeth to be treated. The resin is then applied to the tooth and it bonds to the surface.
When the resin hardens under a special light, your dentist will polish the surface to match the surrounding teeth. It is a quick procedure with reliable results.
How long does a composite bonding treatment last?
With regular care, bonding usually lasts several years. However, biting on hard foods such as ice cubes or chewing nails or pens can chip the surface.
If damaged, composite bonding can be repaired or replaced as required.
