Miki studied in her native Japan where she qualified as a Dental Hygienist in 1988 before moving to the UK to study at Leeds University, again in Dental Hygiene. She has been working at Hilltop Dental since 1995 but also works part time at a practice in London.
Miki aims to provide the best treatment for all of her patients and promotes evidence based treatments. Central to Miki’s popularity is her soft and gentle approach coupled with her determination to build strong relationships with her patients.
Outside of work Miki has a passion for reading Japanese authors and is an active member of the SGI Buddhist organisation. She loves the multicultural city of Birmingham where she can eat food from all over the world. It remains her goal to find a good Japanese Sushi restaurant in Birmingham…let her know if you find one!
Miki would like to share a poem she has close to her heart and is written by Daisaku Ikeda:
Doing everything that I can, this is normal.
Going beyond my abilities, this is my mission.
Where my abilities end, my faith begins.
